Research the contractor that you are planning on hiring, Do their reference check out, Ask to see completed work and or on going work. Look at the cleanliness of the job sites. Ask if the Contractor to provide you with a copy of his/her license. Is the contractor Insured and can they issue you a certificate of insurance with you the customer as the certificate holder. Most importantly the customer has to feel comfortable with the contractor they are choosing. We at KitchenAlity understand that we are working in someones home and respect that and take it as an honor that they want us to work in their home. It is very important for the customer to fully understand the scope of work and the specifications of what they are going to contract on. Also ask who will be their point of contact during the remodeling process, will it be the sales person, the site superintendent or the contractor themselves.
